Water Authority
Although not nationwide, this company needed a comprehensive Network of Opticians in the south east, to cover both VDU and SAFETY sight testing and corrective appliances. We have also tested a small number of Fast Response personnel, to confirm their eyesight is to a sufficient standard.
We learnt early on in the contract to carefully distinguish between SAFETY and VDU spectacles. It was easy for us to tell them apart, but some employees took the wrong form to the opticians. We now understand that we have to be very descriptive when sending out the correct form.
SAFETY equipment needs to be replaced when it no longer conforms with the British Standard. Duncan and Todd offer guidelines of how to check and replace older spectacles that employees may think will last a few more years. This was implemented with this Water Authority.
All sight testing is serviced off-site via the Network Opticians, as there are a few employees in many locations. We supply separate Management Information for this company, both VDU and SAFETY.
